Presales Consultant Job Description

PRESALES CONSULTANT (Germany and Benelux):
We are currently looking for a Presales Consultant who will be responsible for all technical aspects of the Sales cycle, providing essential technical expertise to help the Sales teams win business from new and existing customers (within the Germany and Benelux territory)

The Presales Consultant is responsible for designing and documenting appropriate technical solutions for customers and involves significant technical interaction with clients, especially face to face.

Professionalism, flexibility, product and domain expertise, and the ability to communicate that expertise to a wide variety of audiences are key attributes for this role.

The position will focus upon:
- Conducts or participates with the sales team in client workshops, trials, evaluations, proof of concepts and any other technical aspect of the Pre-sales process.
- Identifies technical customer requirements and translate them into efficient solutions architecture.
- Devises technical presentations and demonstrations of Artificial Solutions product range to a wide spectrum of audience.
- Provides technical responses to RFI/RFP/tender completion and submission.
- Liaises with Professional Services and other departments as a part of the Pre-Sales and Post Sales activities.
- Develops technical standards to capture quality and re-usability of our practices.

Presales Consultant Job Requirements

Previous Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ Software Pre-Sales or Consultancy/Implementation experience in web based solutions.
- Strong presentation skills in order to articulate features, functions and benefits of NLI solutions.
- Previous client facing experience
- Ideally domain expertise in the interactive and web customer service (or similar) industries.

Technical Skills:
- Deep knowledge of web based development and design as well as object oriented programming languages, Java in particular, and a broad and detailed understanding of technology.
- In particular, you should have good skills within most of the below areas/ technologies/ methodologies:
 JavaScript, Perl, PHP, Groovy
 HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML, Ajax
 Flash
 JUnit, integration testing
 ASP, JSP
 Apache Tomcat, Sun Glassfish
 Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL  Netbeans
 TTS/OCR
 Agile development ( nice to have)

Languages:
- Native command of Dutch
- Fluency in English- both verbally and written is a must
- Any other language ( especially German) will be a plus.

Other Skills:
- Ability to communicate technical subject matter to non-technical people.
- Ability to quickly grasp, understand and learn new technical skills and programs
- Friendly, customer facing oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
