Chemical Lab Technician (m/f)
The Opportunity
- Characterization of raw material and tire compound samples by wet chemical, chromatographic, spectroscopic and thermal analysis methods.
- Preparation of tire compound samples and organization of sample distribution.
- Support maintenance of analytical testing equipment.
Chemical Lab Technician Job Requirements
To join our team you will need:
Education
- The candidate must have a successfully completed degree as Chemical Lab Technician or equivalent experience.
Languages - The candidate must have at least good knowledge of English (oral/written), French and/or German would be considered as an asset.
Experience - Experience with thermal characterization methods (DSC, TGA) is required.
- Experiences with chromatographic characterization methods and/or NMR- methods are preferred.
- Experiences in troubleshooting, maintaining, and calibrating laboratory equipment and analytical instruments to ensure efficient lab operations are considered as assets.
- Experience with polymers especially elastomers will be considered as asset.
IT, soft skills & others - Very organized and ready to follow best housekeeping practices.
- Ready to follow all corporate lab safety and environmental work practices and policies.
- Knowledge on PC based software (MS Office).
- Ready to work in an international environment.
- Team player, Self motivated, Open minded and flexible, Good communication skills on all levels.
