Our Technology Division undertakes the development of innovative new products and equipment from concept through to full production, often incorporating considerable technical challenges.

The multi-disciplinary Electronics Engineering Team develop a range of systems from high voltage analogue drivers, integration of ISM band RF modules, to high speed controllers for instrumentation, measurement and control systems.

Opportunities have been created for Analogue and Digital Electronic Engineers, based in our Cambridge Technology Centre. We are looking to recruit innovative, adaptable and talented Electronic Engineers with excellent organisational and communication skills, both written and spoken.

Role:

You will be a highly motivated Engineer, able to perform the design of analogue or digital circuits for a range of sensors, controllers and accessories.  The instruments will typically also include processor circuitry and communications interfaces.

With a degree in Electronics (or equivalent) and proven experience gained within a commercial environment. You will be involved in the full product life cycle from design of systems to specification, schematic design, circuit simulation/analysis, prototype, ensuring EMC compliance, production hand over, and obsolesce.

Knowledge & Experience Required:

• Substantial experience working for a commercial/industrial proven record of successful electronic design
• Knowledge and experience in schematic design (Orcad preferred), circuit simulation/analysis
• Testing and evaluation of electronic circuits and components
• Use of lab tools including SMT soldering, and oscilloscopes for prototyping
• Experience with a range of microprocessor architectures include PIC and ARMAbility to produce technical documentation to support all activities, from requirements documentation to final assembly instructions
• Strong organisational skills, able to co-ordinate various stakeholders into unified approach
• Work with Marketing and Production, to ensure products meet market and production requirements

There will also be an expectation of some regular UK travel with occasional foreign travel.
