Stress Engineer

Client:
Our client is a leading partner in the aviation industry, including the production of leading edges for Airbus (A350, A380 A400M), and the design of primary structures for Bombardier projects.

This company is specialized in the design, development and production of leading edges of aircraft wings.
They are also specialized in the wing panels and fuselage sections.

Activities:
In the frame of new international projects, our historical client is looking for a Senior stress engineer to reinforce its existing team.
You will be involved in all the design phase and certification phase for various projects.
You will perform models creation, validation, exploitation and sizing of aerospace structures.

You will be responsible for:

•Static Stress, fatigue and D/T Analysis on aerospace structures.
•Creation and modification of existing finite element models.
•FEM loading, processing & results extractions.
•Writing of stress reports for certification.
•Providing your expertise in stress analysis to the Engineering Department.
•Leading the suppliers.


You will use ISAMI (Frame Analysis, Plate Analysis, MPERRA, Bolted joint, Stiffened panel, Panel buckling), Excel spreadsheets, AIRBUS tools, ESACOMP, CATIA V5, ACD4 tool, Patran/Nastran for post-processing analysis (SOL 101, SOL 103, SOL 105, SOL 106).

Stress Engineer Job Requirements

Profile:

• You are a Mechanical or aeronautical engineer.
• You proved minimum 3 years of experience in flight vehicle structures, with a lot of experience in finite element calculations and model creations.
• You got a good knowledge in damage tolerance and sizing methods adapted to aerospace.
• An experience in composites and/or metallic is required.
• You have a good experience in Nastran/Patran or SAMCEF (Static and optimization calculations).
• The knowledge of other ISAMI and ESACOMP software is an advantage.
• You have good communication skills and a real ‘can do’ attitude.
• You are able to write comprehensive analysis reports in English.
