As electrical designer you have integral design responsibility for the assigned part of the electronics system, from specification to mass production. You take care of the elaboration and optimization of electrical circuits. Your design must have the required performance, must be easy to produce and service and this within the cost target.
You draw up and execute the evaluation check list per model round. You evaluate models and solve technical problems. You steer the CAD implementation for creating the PCB with optimal performance, not only functional but also with respect to EMC and temperature.
You take care of the outputs: electrical diagrams, printed circuits, bill of material, specification, ordering of key components for models, change notes, key components lists and diversity surveys.
You work together with your software counterpart on the application of your part. (Software driver input)
You optimize test and alignment instructions in co-operation with the process engineer and you take care of the requirements for industrialization.
You execute the quality test plan. You analyze and solve the design related complaints, from field, production, service.
You obtain the professional knowledge related to the function in terms of new technologies, components, systems, standards, application domains, application techniques, etc.
Profile
As electrical design engineer in the platform function team, Electronics Department, you are responsible for the development of a part of the electronics system. You will be part of a project team where the follow up on the progress is done. You are motivated, willing to learn, communicative and passionate by electronics design, have a mind set of first time right and quality. You are also familiar with high speed electronics like DDR2-3, USB, Ethernet physical link and have some basic knowledge in RF application design for digital broadcast. Measuring equipment like high speed scopes, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer are familiar to you.
You are a master of science in engineering or master of engineering. You master the English language. Knowledge of Dutch is an advantage. You have experience in high speed design and small signal electronics.
Notions like HyperLynx, controlled impedance, signal integrity, electromagnetic interference, grounding structure, sound familiar to you.
Apart from the above, experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus:
o HDMI
o High speed memory application
o RF application design
