Senior Cloud Operations Engineer Job Description

Your area of responsibility

• Operation of Fabasoft Cloud Services infrastructure and applications
• Design, implementation and further development of IT service architectures
• Active collaboration with software engineering teams (DevOps)
• Performance tuning and troubleshooting

Senior Cloud Operations Engineer Job Requirements

Our requirements:

• At least 3 years job experience in the implementation and operation of IT services in geographically dispersed data centers
• Good experience with Linux systems (CentOS) and virtualisation technologies (KVM)
• Profound knowledge of monitoring, configuration management (e.g. Chef) and automation (Shell Scripting)
• Knowledge/interest in cloud computing, web technologies, database systems (PostgreSQL), network, backup and recovery, HA technologies
• Experience in project management, Kanban, SCRUM, ITIL/ITSM, COBIT and DevOps advantageous
• High ability to solve problems, self-initiative and acute awareness of security
• Knowledge of German language (written and spoken)
