Applications Support Scientist Job Description

What are the main responsibilities of an Applications Support Scientist:

The successful candidate will ensure customer satisfaction with our drug  design software through telephone and email discussions about scientific topics and software usage and performance; logging and tracking of problems and enhancement requests; writing custom Python scripts for customers; channeling customer feedback to the development team; and helping to diagnose problems in software.

Applications Support Scientist Job Requirements

• Background in Computational Chemistry and experience with pharmaceutical applications of molecular modeling software tools
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Strong problem-solving ability
• A broad knowledge of molecular modeling theory and applications
• Experience with scripting languages (Python preferred)
• Experience with customer support preferred
• Multilingual fluency preferred (German, French and English)
• Familiarity with high-performance computing IT environments preferred
• Experience using Schrödinger products preferred
