Field Service Engineer Rotating Equipment Job Description

In this independent and responsible position, you are responsible for intallation, maintenance and service activities. For both national and especially international customers in different locations, on- and offshore. You are primarily responsible for the supervision of the activities.
You will also perform hands-on work in the commisioning of new installations, performing preventive and corrective maintenance as well as carrying out repairs and modifications. You are a troubleshooter for customers and the first person they can contact if there is a situation.
You are therefore both an ambassador for the company itself as well as an advisor for the customers. You will be assisted by the backoffice and the engineering department. You will make both external and internal reports and if necessary you work at the head office in the East of the Netherlands.

Field Service Engineer Rotating Equipment Job Requirements

• A bachelor degree Mechanical Engineering or Naval Engineering.
• You have experience as a Field Service Engineer for rotating equipment , preferably in the oil & gas market
• You have knowledge of maintenance concepts and process technology
• You have practical experience in the field of electrical , lubrication , measurement & control and hydraulics & pneumatics
• We require a good command of the English language, both spoken and written
• You enjoy working independently, working in a team and managing a project
• You're persuasive and tactful in your communication , both spoken and written
• It is easy for you to deal with the pressure and stress in situations where downtime is expensive for the customer
• Customer focus, analytical skills , stress resistance, responsibility, leader, flexible, creative and practical
• You're willing to travel international and stay outside of the country for long periods of time ( more than 200 days a year)
