Within the Research Team of Marel Stork Poultry Processing we have a wide variety of disciplines and specialists with degrees in physics, poultry science, biology, food technology and meat science.
Nowadays the consumer has a large range of meat to choose from, both in quality and presentation. This results in the need for a flexible slaughtering process with intelligent control in order to provide for this large variety in products.
In addition to this it is important for the process to be efficient and for instance for yields to be followed up continuously. To manage this entire process and to integrate the different equipment in a complete solution Marel has developed the INNOVA platform. This platform has been based on a SQL database and the many user and control applications within the platform have been developed in the Microsoft.net environment.
Dashboarding and reporting are conducted on the basis of web technologies with asp.net and JavaScript.In your everyday work you will be involved in the designing, realization, testing and documentation of INNOVA software applications. As a SCRUM master you will also be leading the team.
As a Software Engineer you will be at the centre of the development process and you will come into contact with many disciplines. You will mostly work in a multi-disciplinary team. Within the Marel Stork Poultry Processing organization we believe it is very important for the developers to have and maintain an involvement in the products that they develop.
This position therefore covers the entire development process. You will therefore spend a considerable part of your time with the end user, especially during the test phase.
Marel offers you plenty of space to develop yourself (internationally). The informal atmosphere gives you the opportunity to take responsibility and show initiative. You will of course be supported and supervised by the organisation. Salary will depend on knowledge and experience. At Marel the challenges are there for the taking!
