Senior CNC Machinist Job Description
Our client is a well known and worldwide active company. One of the offices is based in Tilburg (the Netherlands). Our client is a leading manufacturer of engine components.
The new employee will be responsible for:
- Reading drawings, work planning and documentation;
- Selecting the clamping and / or cutting tool;
- Determines reference points and direction of machine cutting paths;
- Set up and operate multiple CNC milling machines (including 5-axis);
- (Co) developing CNC programs (Fanuc) for new products;
- Optimize existing CNC programs;
- Visual and dimensional inspection of the processing results;
- Writes instruction sheets and cutter lists to guide setup and operation of machine;
- Identifying and solving process-/manufacturing issues;
- Drive continuous improvement using problem-solving tools / skills;
- Lead cost reduction programs through program optimization, Lean Manufacturing;
- Collaborates with external and internal customers, including Engineering and Quality Assurance, to resolve issues and meet customer specifications;
- Act as troubleshooter / trainer for colleagues;
- 1st line maintenance.

Senior CNC Machinist Job Requirements
The new Senior CNC Machinist, must have the following skills and knowledge:
- Extensive knowledge of the functioning, operating and setting of CNC machines;
- Excellent knowledge of 5-axis CNC milling machinery and fanuc control;
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience;
- Completed technical education: Intermediate/Higher vocational education or Bachelor's degree;
- Proven experience and skills in a senior position;
- Be able to read drawings and position tolerances;
- Knowledge of 3D CAD/CAM programming;
- Good knowledge of the English language (B2 or higher);
- Willing to work in shifts;
- Clear motivation to work and live in the Netherlands.
