SEeD Trainee Job Description

For our SEeD Program we are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated candidates that would like to develop themselves rapidly and would like to work in one of the engineering areas like Chemical-, Mechanical-, Process-, or Reliability Engineering.
 
The SEeD Program -starting with a bootcamp- has a lead-time of 2 years and consists of 4 assignments (6 months each) within Operation, Technical, Maintenance and EHSS departments. Assignments could be performed at several European SABIC locations (Geleen (NL), Teesside (UK), Gelsenkirchen (GE), Bergen-op-Zoom (NL) and Cartagena (SP).
 
The goal of the SEeD program is to get acquainted with SABIC Europe, its culture and behaviors, its organization in order to become fit-for-the-real job. SEeD program components:

• Training on the job;
• Technical, business and leadership courses during bootcamps;
• Accomplishing 4 assignments within (petro-)chemical plants;
• Networking : getting to know the SABIC Manufacturing organization & people within several countries and cultures;
• Getting to know the several plants (different sizes, technologies, problems etc.);
• Getting challenged on your personal competences.

• To solve and troubleshoot technological problems;
• To improve the production process regarding Capacity, Capability and safety;
• To define the operating window in which installations can be operated safely;
• To set up and roll out improvement projects within budget
• To conduct investigations, route cause analyses and studies;
• To support and advise the management in controlling safety and integrity;
• To stimulate and work together in multidisciplinary teams.

• To solve and troubleshoot mechanical problems;
• To improve the Reliability & Availability of process equipment;
• To set up predictive & preventive maintenance plans for process equipment;
• To set up and monitor the budget regarding predictive, preventive & break-down maintenance;
• To define and implement a reliability strategy;
• To conduct investigations, route cause analyses and studies;
• To support and advise the management in maintaining safety and integrity;
• To stimulate and work together in multidisciplinary teams. 

SEeD Trainee Job Requirements

 
Requirements

• You are finishing or have just finished your BSc or MSc Chemical, Industrial, Civil, Mechanical or Material Engineering;
• You are a good communicator and you have well developed social skills;
• You have excellent analytical skills, you can easily switch between conceptual and detailed level;
• You are result driven; showing ownership and you are eager to reach the agreed results;
• You are fluent in English.

SEeD Trainee Application Information
