Electrical Engineer Job Description

OPRA’s Electrical Engineers are responsible for the design of the electrical systems for OPRA’s 2 MW gas turbine generator set. This includes the engineering of the instrumentation, generator, fuel supply and other auxiliary systems. The electrical engineers work closely together with controls engineering, gas turbine engineering, project management, purchasing and assembly & testing.
 
The main tasks are:

• Engineering electrical and power systems for projects based on customer specifications
• Preparing engineering specifications for power generating and power distribution systems up to 15kV
• Provide electrical diagrams and process & instrumentation diagrams (P&ID)
• Creating, reviewing and approving supplier specifications, drawings and documentation
• Supporting assembly, testing and commissioning of gas turbines and complete generator sets
• Working on development projects to improve the product and working processes
• Interfacing with the Company’s sales and service departments regarding customer technical support

Electrical Engineer Job Requirements

Desired skills & expertise:

• MSc degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Relevant working experience is a preference, however recent graduates can also apply
• Taking the initiative, good communication skills
• Open mind: liaise with other disciplines within the organization
• Fluent in spoken/written English
