Quality Surveillance Engineer Job Description

Description

• You participate in the examination and approval of the Contractor technical manufacturing file.
• You conduct the quality follow-up of fabrication and mechanical equipment in Contractors and Suppliers workshops. This includes expertise on: reception of base materials, welding processes, non-destructive examination (NDE), destructive tests, corrosion, and so on.
• You are responsible for the analysis and management of information relating to fabrication activities, e.g. examination of non-conformity and incidents.

Quality Surveillance Engineer Job Requirements

Profile

• You are an Engineer in mechanics with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• You are able to understand the manufacturing and control processes which are used.
• Experience in manufacturing follow-up is an asset.
• You have got a good knowledge in welding and non-destructive examination techniques.
• You have got a good knowledge in the construction norms and standards, like: ASME, DIN, AFNOR, and so on.
• You are dynamic, organised and pro-active.
• You are able to work in a team and you are willing to travel frequently in Belgium and abroad.
• You are able to speak and write well in French and English. Dutch is a plus, but not a must.
• You are able to draft reports, like: analysis, synthesis and presentation.
