ASML - Safety Engineer Job Description
It will be our Safety Engineer's task to support the enhancement of the overall safety awareness and ultimately bring all safety related requirements towards the production processes by supporting the engineering teams that define the production procedures. The involved safety aspects are based on both legal and company defined safety policies. In order to efficiently review safety instructions it is necessary to execute risk assessments on workplace activities.Job Description
- Have a sound understanding of the safety related aspects of our machine designs and provide, based on this understanding, a practical approach towards safe job execution in the cleanroom;
- Be the counterpart of the EHS-representative when it comes to the introduction of EHS related aspects in the engineering procedures;
- Driven to check in the cleanroom for the actual job execution in order to prepare practical understanding of the situation at hand. By this way the advice to be included in the procedures will be acceptable for the operations. Strong focus on the evaluating part in order to propose improvements;
- Create the overview of the actual status of the machines in the factory and advise on the safety controls that need to be installed and confirmed;
- Be the key person in the improvement of the above processes;
- Execute concise and to the point reporting on all the above.

ASML - Safety Engineer Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree or equivilant in work experience;
- Multiple years related experience in work field.
Experience- Proven affinity with safety and the drive to create control for the purpose of support;
- Experience in design and specification of low volume/high capital machinery and similar facilities;
- Experience in engineering safety and transferring it to the operation.
Personal skills- Skills to motivate / influence others;
- Plenty of initiative, purposeful, analytical, good communication skills, pragmatic, service attitude;
- Familiar with auditing processes in terms of stimulating improvements by constructive checking actions;
- Experienced safety professional;
- Excellent communicator on all levels in Dutch as well as in English (REQUIRED);
- Reporting capabilities.
