Job Description
Our group, the Holistic Applications Development team, is committed to support our customer to successfully development and productize advanced semiconductor process and devices.
We do this by understanding our customer's current and future challenges, collaborating with them in the development of innovative hardware and software products, then deploying the optimal and customized solutions to meet the highest performance requirements.
Both our approach and solution are holistic; we consider the inter-correlation of the various customer process challenges as a whole and deliver an effective full-loop solution.
This position is a Senior Applications Project Manager that manages a team of project leads and managers responsible in driving various customer projects and new product development.
The typical types of customer projects are new process node transition, head-to-head evaluations of the latest product solutions and applications, and time-critical process ramp.
A successful Senior Applications Project Manager will be responsible to:•
Lead and support the project leaders and managers in their project management; from strategic project planning, to successful execution and closure.•
Drive and align the resource and technical priorities of all projects with all stakeholders, within and outside the Holistic Applications group, to ensure necessary resources and technical products are in place in a timely manner to enable successful project execution.• Influence product development process and roadmap to meet the critical customer requirements. •
Coach the project leads and managers who are representatives in the various product development groups to be successful in their product development role.•
Establish positive partnerships with the regional account team.•
Build trusting relationship with the customer by having regular face-to-face meeting on-site and understanding their needs and challenges•
Foster effective collaboration across inter disciplined teams through regular customer project updates and knowledge sharing
Context of the position
Within ASML, the Product Groups are accountable for the development of ASML products.
The Product Group Applications (PG Apps) is developing packages of products around Holistic Lithography Applications. These applications include but are not limited to computational lithography, applications specific scanner optimization and automated scanner and process control. These products are separate from the normal system functionality and require different interfacing with the customers.
Where normally ASML communicates to the lithography department in R&D and manufacturing, with these new products ASML also needs to interface with different customer groups (e.g. design, mask shop, metrology, process, automation and integration groups).
Master's, or Doctorate's degree in Engineering related to Physics, Optics, Material Science, Chemistry or Mathematics
Experience•
Master's with at least 10 years, Doctorate with at least 8 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing experience, preferably in lithography and/or metrology.•
Experience or expertise in the areas of semiconductor fab applications development, lithography, overlay and imaging metrology, defectivity, process yield and control, and/or process integration are desirable.•
Successful coaching and leadership experience in managing technical engineering team worldwide (in headquarter and various regional offices).•
Successful worldwide customer project management experience in a highly dynamic environment with changing priorities and high stakes.•
Successful contributor and effective influencer in the product development process.
Personal skills •
Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skill.•
Passionate in coaching and growing your team members to help them go to the next level.•
Analytical, organized, creative, and self-driven high performing individual, team player, and leader.•
Willingness to travel worldwide 20-40%.
