PHP Senior Software Engineer in Test (f/m) Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Organize QA for projects/products and be contact for Engineers, Product Management & Business in order to identify and resolve potential weak spots
- Find weaknesses and inconsistencies in the way code works and constantly challenge feature code and implementations
- Improve the quality of developer output via pairing, training and coaching
- Develop test tools, and extend test frameworks and test environments together with other Test Engineers
- Conclude risk assessments and mitigation in regards to code, architecture and products
- Implement automatic acceptance-/ integration- and unit-tests in a challenging, heterogeneous, multi-layered environment
- Optimize and extend quality assistance and test automation procedures by applying state-of-the-art techniques and practices
PHP Senior Software Engineer in Test (f/m) Job Requirements
Experience:
- Strong technical background and experience in several programming languages (PHP required, Java is a plus)
- Experienced in developing feature code as a software developer/engineer
- Enthusiastic and practiced in web and related technologies
- Passionate about delivering high quality software and driven by new and pragmatic ways to do so
- Experienced with various operating systems (Linux required) and web servers
- Experienced with development processes using Agile, Scrum and/or Kanban
- Familiar with testing frameworks PHPUnit, PHPSpec, Behat, scripted testing, BDD/TDD, test reports, etc. and appropriate utilization
- Strong knowledge about continuous integration and build automation tools, including but not limited to Jenkins, Travis, Maven, code style check tools
- Knowledge about metrics/monitoring tools is a plus (Logstash, Kibana)
- You believe in continuous learning and self-development and you enjoy sharing your knowledge, receiving advice and getting honest feedback
- Working proficiency in English
- Equivalent of at least 4 years of hands on experience in the above areas
