Lead Software Engineer - Printing Technology

Our client is a leading technology product development and technology business consultancy practice. Their client coverage is global; they work at the cutting edge in creating and developing intellectual property and they provide intelligent solutions & strategy advice to existing or developing technologies & products. Business growth means they have an excellent opportunity for a new lead software engineer to join the team, to help develop there digital printing technology.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer/scientist to further develop their work or interest in a highly demanding commercial environment and be surrounded by likeminded people equally passionate about software engineering.
Required:
• B.Sc/M.Sc or PhD in Engineering
• Proven experience developing and implementing systems architectures
• Proven record working with real-time RIP systems
• Experience with variable data workflows
• Experience with VB, VC++, MFC, GUI, UML Methodology
• Working knowledge with leading and strategically significant file formats
• Experience with device and network management technologies such as Simple Network Management Protocol.
• Knowledge of process automation technologies
• In depth understanding of latest networking and Ethernet based protocols
• Experience with data interchange and description technologies
• Previous experience in a printing company would be an advantage.
