Cargill Refined Oils Europe (CROE) focusses on supplying customers with a wide range of high quality vegetable oils solutions. CROE is a pan European BU with 16 operations spread over 6 different countries. CROE processes a wide selection of different types of vegetable oils and fats for specific applications in the food, feed, technical and energy segment.

Description:

Location: Rotterdam Botlek

The purpose of this job is to manage complex CAPEX projects for the tropical oil refinery in Rotterdam (individual projects up to +/- € 10 million and occasionally higher). You will lead the project teams, related to the individual projects, in a matrix structure. During the project, you will lead internal and external parties in order to deliver the projects, according the related scopes, on time in full and according budget. The project manager is responsible for the entire process from scope definition to commitment request, execution, commissioning and start-up.

Accountabilites:

• Manage all aspects and phases of CAPEX projects including:

• achieve the respective project objectives;
• stay within approved budget and planning;
• ensure compliance with the corporate EHS & QA policies and best practices;
• manage regular progress meetings with future users and project teams;
• manage basic and detail engineering phases;
• lead and organize variable teams (depending on the project phase and the specific project);
• manage contracts related to contractors and equipment;
• responsible for all organizational, technological and technical aspects of the projects;
• ensure that all projects are delivered with the appropriate documentation (P&ID’s, PED, etc).

Project Manager (fluent in Dutch and English) Job Requirements

• A master degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, bio-chemical engineering, electrical engineering (or similar);
• ambitious and result driven project manager with a can do attitude;
• minimum 5 years proven experience in managing technical projects within the process or food industry;
• proven leadership skills in an operational environment;
• experience with strategic project management and project management methodologies;
• proven experience in project budgeting;
• good at prioritizing and meeting challenging deadlines;
• able to make tough decisions;
• strong analytical skills;
• fluent in Dutch and English.
