Technology Manager Job Description

Job Objective:
Hexion offers a rewarding career opportunity working in a dedicated team of experts who thrive on innovation and customer satisfaction.

• To develop new products or tailor the existing ones according to specific requests along the guidance of the European group leader for phenolic powders and foams;
• Owner of production recipes and technical data sheets for the Solbiate plant;
• To support raw material changes into existing products while working with buying, supply chain and manufacturing;
• To support sales in their activities;

• To locally coordinate the Solbiate R&D team consisting out of 2-4 lab technicians;
• To coordinate the Solbiate R&D and lab activities while working with the European group leader for phenolic powders and foams;
• To ensure local and global safety standards are respected and implemented along changes to changes to safety regulations with local focus on Solbiate;
• To closely work with Solbiate production, quality management and safety departments to ensure a smooth implementation of R&D projects within the Solbiate manufacturing grid. This includes also work on behalf of the Solbiate R&D technicians;
• To manage technical service for the Southern Europe geography including Spain and Italy;
• To visit customer and support all their tests, activities optimizing their processes with particular attention to environmental impact and performance of their application along the guidance of the European group leader for phenolic powders and foams (local focus on South European geography).

Technology Manager Job Requirements

Education / Qualifications:
Graduated in Industrial Chemistry or Polymer/Materials Chemistry or comparable industry experience.
A minimum of 5 years related work experience.
