Electrical / Instrumental Engineer Trainee Job Description

The Pipeline Development Program introduces the ins-and-outs of a dynamic chemical manufacturing business while encouraging personal and professional growth.

The traineeship starts October 1, 2016 and is divided into 3-5 assignments of 4-6 months each to explore different aspects of the business to ultimately find permanent placement in a role based on personal ambitions and capabilities. Throughout the assignments you will be exposed to different technical and engineering aspects of our company in the departments of Process Technology & Development (PT&D), Projects & Engineering, Product Application & Development, Research & Development and Manufacturing.

For this traineeship you must be willing to relocate abroad for the period of one assignment.

Your chance:

• You will develop quality standards, test-protocols, procedures and maintenance plans;
• You are accountable for developing best practices, processes and tools;
• Analyse root causes of incidents or recurring problems;
• Define technical scope and give advice about new maintenance contracts;
• Develop specifications for new equipment in the project design phase;
• Determine Safety Integrity Level requirements for safeguarding instrumentation;
• Ensure compliance with company standards and national and european legislation.

Electrical / Instrumental Engineer Trainee Job Requirements

Your qualifications:

• BSc./MSc. Electrotechnical Engineer, specialized in Instrumentation or BSc./MSc. Process Control Engineer with knowledge of industrial instrumentation and automation;
• Interest to apply theoretical knowledge in practice. Capabilities and interest to learn and increase knowledge and expertise further;
• Fluent in Dutch and English, verbally and written (knowledge of the German language is a plus);
• Between 0 and 2 years of working experience in the chemical industry;
• Hands-on mentality, a pragmatic view of life, and be self-driven.
