Service Technician for our DLC Coating Technology Job Description

Your Job:

• You are mainly responsible for the worldwide technical field service of all DLN and Dymon DLC coating machines.
• You will be the central point of contact for
  • maintenance
  • trouble shouting remotely as well as on spot
  • hot-line and phone service and support
  • testing and debugging and bug-fixing of hard and software
  • organizing the spare parts supply
  • repair on spot
  • supporting the locations on TPM issues
  • the support of PLC and visualization software
• Your assignments involve a regular international travel activity.
• Your workplace will be at the head quarter of Sulzer Metaplas GmbH in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany, a city pretty close to Cologne.

• You are a successful graduate engineer or technician in electronics or mechatronics and are now looking for a new challenge and a suitable practical job. You should have experience in providing international field service, in PLC programming and programming of visualisation software.
• It would not be a prerequisite but advantageous to have experience in programming IFIX32, GE Fanuc and Step7 and some knowledge of PVD and DLC technology.
• Besides your mother tongue you have to be able to speak fluent English and write in English. German speaking would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
• Proficient user knowledge of MS Office.
• You should be a target, service and customer oriented team player.
• You have an appropriate level of technical background, a high degree of willingness to travel also on short notice. Currently the locations to be served are in Germany, the USA and France but business expansion into other countries is expected in the future.
• You should be willing to move to Germany.
