Software Quality Engineer - Shop (m/f) Job Description

Your job:

Constantly challenge and raise team awareness towards product quality

Evangelize the team with QA activities like pair programming with developers, manage external testers, support release management and continuous improvement of the integration process

Maintain high quality systems based on test automation and staging-based QA procedures - constantly evaluate the use of new QA tools and frameworks

Review code and fix minor bugs even without assistance from developers

Assist the team in terms of application design and review architectural concepts of products according to the non-functional requirements based on sustainable acceptance criteria using e.g. TDD & DDD

Regularly mentor junior and regular team and department members (Brown Bag sessions, workshops, trainings) and assist them

Working in an agile, cross-functional team

Your profile:

Several years' professional professional experience in QA engineering

You have profound knowledge in technologies and tools, such as PHPUnit, Jasmine, Codeception, Jira, etc.

You are able to support and challenge the team with functional, regression and other testings

You have a knowledge of non-functional testing (focusing on performance and security testing)

You are a strong communicator that drives QA strategy and leads developers in this area

You have experience with design patterns and principles like F.I.R.S.T, SOLID, DRY, etc.

You are experienced with different development techniques like ATDD, BDD, TDD, OWASP etc. and can mentor the team in these methodologies

Outstanding soft skills, a result-oriented working approach, and experiences working in a fast paced, cross-functional and agile team

Your are a team player, constantly willing to improve team’s performance

Your written and spoken English is excellent, German is a plus
