ASML - Technical Instructor & Developer Job Description
Within our department you work in one or more projects supporting the learning needs of our (internal) customers. Being in touch with several departments (e.g. Manufacturing, Global Support Centre and D&E) you translate (internal) customer requirements into training packages.
You will train engineers on several levels: Level 1: Introduction to the machine (functional overview and machine operation). Level 2: Maintenance & Adjustments (major replacements, calibrations). Level 3: Advanced subjects (troubleshooting & diagnosing).
Job Description
- You will be responsible for developing and delivering high quality technical training to engineers from our Customer Support (CS) sector.
- You will also be responsible for creating training solutions to issues reported from Customer Support (CS) engineers in the Field. This last responsibility concerns particularly issues which can be solved by training and education of CS engineers.
- Additionally as a Developer, you will work with employees from the CS New Product Introduction (NPI) organization and Development &Engineering (D&E) to develop the training content for new products being released to the CS Field Organization.
Context of the position This position is within the CS sector. The CS Organization is responsible for the installation, qualification, repair and maintenance of the ASML systems at our customers' sites and is responsible for the necessary transfer of know-how to the customer. Local Customer Support field engineers perform these tasks at the customers within their specific region. The CS Training & Knowledge Management (TR&KM) department is the crucial link between the development department and the thousands of colleagues working at customer sites worldwide and engineers in Veldhoven performing this excellent support.
The CS TRKM department develops and delivers technical training through 1000's of training events yearly worldwide. Most trainees are from the CS sector. About 10% of the trainees are customer engineers. The CS TRKM department has training facilities in Veldhoven, Taiwan, San Diego and Korea.
ASML - Technical Instructor & Developer Job Requirements
Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or Computer Science.
Experience
- 2-3 years of delivering Technical Training.
- Proven affinity with or expertise in education and/or didactic s.
- Experience working in operation and/or field and have understanding of wow.
Personal skills- Analytic, abstract thinking, good communication skills, initiative, independent, sharing knowledge, stress tolerance and teamwork.
- You are a team player, communicate proactively, have a healthy business sense and are on top of new opportunities which add value to our core business.
- A passion for training, teaching and learning. Good written and spoken English with Didactical skills and Cultural awareness. Analytic, abstract thinking, good communication skills, initiative, independent, sharing knowledge, stress tolerance and teamwork.
