Our Division
TME Customer Service (CS) Mechanical 2  Part & Accessory Development’s responsibility is:
  1) Local development of interior/exterior, styling/functional plastic parts & accessories,
  2) Local development of leather/PVC/fabric accessory seat covers,
  3) Decorative & protective paint and chemicals,
  4) Technical coordination & validation of accessories developed by other Toyota Accessory Development Bases .

This activity is done in close cooperation with local suppliers, related divisions in Toyota Motor Europe, mother divisions in Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) and other regional Toyota Accessory Development Bases.


Your responsibilities:
As a member of the CS Mechanical 2 team, you are responsible for the development of interior /exterior, styling/functional plastic parts & accessories. You act as project engineer responsible to develop plastic parts & accessories by achieving cost & quality targets and in close collaboration with supplier and other related TME & TMC divisions.

Key responsibilities are:

• Leading/driving full development process of plastic parts & accessories to achieve on time introduction within budget target & technical requirements.
• Design review with suppliers (DRBFM & FMEA) to assure parts & accessories meet technical specifications and quality standards.
• Controlling & supporting suppliers to meet development milestones.
• Taking proactive action for quality improvement during development & mass production phases.
• Investigation & implementation of cost reduction, styling and function improvement possibilities.
• Coordination with supplier & Toyota validation teams to ensure material & performance requirements are validated. 

Senior Engineer - After Sales Parts & Accessory Development Job Requirements

Your assets:
 

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering (Master degree is an asset)
• 3 to 7 years relevant experience in the design & development  of complex plastic automotive parts
• Good knowledge of tooling and plastic injection process
• Good knowledge and experience with DRBFM & FMEA
• Good knowledge and experience with CATIA v5 (capability to do surface styling with CATIA is an asset)
• Experience with supplier & project management
• High problem solving capability under deadline pressure
• Cost and quality conscious mind
• Good knowledge of office IT tools
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written)
• Fluent in English
• At ease and respectful of cultural differences
• Willing to travel up to 20% of time
• Driving license
