Mechanical Designer Job Description

Are you passionate about Mechanical Design and want to be part of an organisation with a high technical level?  

As senior Mechanical Designer in our product platform Carton Value, Line Engineering 8&19, you will join a dynamic team that works with both development projects and product maintenance activities from start to finish, covering all areas of the Mechanical Engineering responsibility.
 
The main tasks in this position are:

• Research, develop and follow-up technical solutions to meet given specifications and achieve highest possible standards of product performance at lowest cost and highest commonality.
• Lead and coordinate design in Development/Engineering activities, internally and externally according to product specification.
• Finding innovative solutions for complex technical issues.
• Calculate, simulate in Pro/E, analyze and prove design according to agreed processes.
• Design and document according to legal requirements, corporate standards and processes.
• Create time schedules and cost estimations.

Mechanical Designer Job Requirements

In the position we see a strong independent informal leader with experience from leading other designers. You combine a strong personal drive with the ability to reach success together with the team. You are able to see the advantages of sharing your knowledge and building networks, acting in a direction to reach transparency of our efforts. Analytical skills and accuracy are obviously important competencies. Written and spoken English is a must.

To be successful in this position we believe that you have a University degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, combined with solid experience for at least 6 yearsfrom machine design on industrial machinery, manufacturing techniques, verification and validation techniques and working methods and tools. You are also an experienced user of Pro/ENGINEER.
