Key activities
Customer delivery projects
Responsible for the technical specification based on customer requirements. Design the propulsion mechanical systems adapted to existing interfacing. Defining the hydraulic solution for the propulsion Mechanical systems. Analyzing strength, vibration and whirling and alignment behavior. Create drawings, instructions and procedures for production as well as installation of the equipment. Ensure that the installation is designed and produced according marine regulations and classification society rules.
Sales
Translate the customer’s performance requirement into the best possible cost effective technical solution. Decide what Sales can offer, based on a technical risk analysis. Participate in customer visit with Sales and be the key person with essential in-depth technical knowledge taking technical decisions.
Development Projects
The Design Engineer is responsible for mechanical development projects of new service products. These developments can consist of new products, process improvement and software tools.
Troubleshooting
Generate an ad-hoc solution for ship propulsion operation failures.
Responsible for the root cause analysis, plan of action and subsequently the design of the solution.
