Technical Department Manager Job Description

As a Technical Department Manager, you have a key role for securing the future growth of ROCKPANEL. The technical Department Manager will be responsible for managing our innovation pipeline, certification, norms & standards, technical support and quality assurance. 
You as Technical Department Manager, manage a team of 6 experienced technical specialists. You are also expected to manage strategic projects yourself. The Technical Department Manager communicates- and maintains good relationships with all departments within the ROCKPANEL-, and ROCKWOOL Group.

Furthermore, the Technical Department Manager takes care of external technical communication with installers, contractors, architects, technical approval- and notified bodies, research institutes, suppliers, factory managers and operators. The Technical Department Manager, reports directly to the Managing Director. The position is located in Roermond.

Technical Department Manager Job Requirements

• At least a Bachelor degree in (Production) Process engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in a management or leadership position
• Strong Planning and Project Management skills
• A proven ability in product management preferably building materials
• The ability to set priorities and the ability to translate complex coherencies into easy to understand information
• A hands-on mentality
• Excellent communication skills in English and another language, preferable Dutch or German (both verbal and written)
