As a Software Test System Engineer you are responsible for automating test cases on system level as much as possible, thereby guaranteeing that those test cases can and will be run.
 
Job Mission
You will be contributing in increasing the quality and efficiency of computer systems group.
You will be responsible for the quality by manual testing and analyzing deliveries from the development teams.
To improve the efficiency you will be responsible to automate and extend the test sets of the Computer systems group. Goal is to move to a continuous integration way of working.
 
Job Description
The Software Test Engineer will ensure automation environments run smoothly and ensure all tests pass, or highlight any functionality issues.
You will document and maintain manual test cases and respond to change including adding or adding test cases.
You will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining automated component and system tests to increase coverage. Together with the test architect you will discuss and implement the test roadmap for computer systems. You will be involved in defining test strategy and further automating the tests suites.
 

Computer Systems Software Test Automation - with Python Scriptin Job Requirements

You have a Master (MSc) or Bachelor (BSc) degree in the field of Embedded Systems/Computer Science.
 
Experience
You have had previous experience in developing and implementing test strategy
You must be able to work effectively with colleagues to define testable user stories and acceptance criteria and to resolve any defects that may arise.
REQUIRED CRITERIA:

• Strong experience developing python scripts and applications
• Knowledge of application development in C
• Proven ability to accurately test, evaluate and report results
• Knowledge in up to date development/test approaches and techniques, including test driven development, acceptance
• Experience in writing test and testresults documents
• Experience with testing in a continuous integration
• Experience with ClearCase / GIT

• Experience in test automation of embedded platforms
• Experience with Linux administration
• Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery approaches
• Knowledge on ISTQB
