Work Environment

In Powertrain Development at the Neckarsulm plant, we develop high-performance passenger-car drive systems. To strengthen our team in fuel cell system development for the VW Group, we are looking for a candidate with pioneering spirit, who is motivated and likes to work in a team.

Job Purpose/Role

• You will design and examine the total fuel cell system
• You will be involved in the design and appropriate configuration and connection of important components as well as media supply and discharge, taking into account the requirements of the fuel cell stack and its operating conditions, including the specified installation space for the target vehicles
• You will use and optimise appropriate design and simulation tools to establish the functionality of potential system variants and will work on proposals regarding suitable operating modes
• To assess and verify the desired properties, you will plan, conduct and evaluate suitable tests
• In order to identify potential solutions, you will coordinate the range and content of your tasks within your own team, primarily with the design engineers, application engineers and component developers, as well as with relevant teams within the company
• You will support the nominated supplier and development partner with their development process (compliance with technical target values and milestones)

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

• You have a degree in process engineering or a related discipline
• To successfully accomplish these tasks, you have professional experience in the field of fuel cell development
• Experience of the total fuel cell system and its practical application in the vehicle would be desirable
• As you will be in frequent contact with internal and external development partners both within the country and abroad, you will require good communication skills
