Our Technology
At AppLift, we help advertisers get connected with users of their choice through a multitude of products and technologies. Our data pipelines crunch terabytes of data every hour from hundreds of sources, processing views, clicks and conversions using state of the art algorithmic models, which then gets used to make smart bids, offer performance based billing to the advertiser, detect fraud, and match the right user to the advertiser. Data Engineer (m/f) for AppLift Job Description

Location: Berlin, Germany.

We’re here to solve a problem faced by all mobile app marketers: how to find the best possible users for their apps at the best possible price. By connecting mobile app marketers with over a billion users worldwide through our performance-focused technology, we enable them to acquire just the ones that will help them to achieve their business goals.

Your Responsibilities:

• You will be involved in the technical design of our products
• You design, develop and implement our data ingestions and streaming processes together with our engineers, BI and analytics team
• You design and improve our data processes and architectures with cutting edge technologies to streamline and analyze massive data flows from our existing backend infrastructure or external sources
• You translate business needs into technical requirements for new projects
• You constantly explore and evaluate the implementation of new technologies to address infrastructure scalability and performance challenges 

Data Engineer (m/f) for AppLift Job Requirements

Our Requirements:

• Previous work experience (1-3 years) in the internet, mobile, software environment is a strong plus but not a prerequisite
• You have extensive knowledge of databases, DWH and best engineering practices
• Experience in working with latest data infrastructure technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Big Query, etc.) is a plus
• Strong knowledge of  SQL
• Experience in server setup, scheduling and deployment tools is a plus
• Hands on experience with Python, Scala, or other scripting languages
• Ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders and junior team members
• Knowledge of data science techniques (predictive analytics, data mining and machine learning) is a plus
• Very strong communication skills with external and internal stakeholders
• You like to solve complex problems and are able to prioritize between different projects at the same time
• You are a team player and don’t mind “getting your hands dirty“ to support others
• You are passionate about mobile advertising and want to bring our business to the next level
