UI/UX Designer Job Description

MOBGEN is an award-winning global mobile solution specialist with unique skills in mobile UI, UX and technology. We help international brands with the development and implementation of an effective mobile strategy, covering B2C, B2B and B2E mobile platforms. We are looking for a UI/UX design superstar who will work with our Creative Director, design and project teams to deliver outstanding next-level experiences.
Responsibilities

• At the heart of this UI/UX design role is mobile technology. We love pushing boundaries and we believe that designing for mobile means a lot more than creating awesome screens in Photoshop. At MOBGEN, design and development go hand-in-hand, so this means that our designers are aware of xcode possibilities, html5, css, jQuery etc, and the developers contribute to the design process;
• We also look for an intimate understanding of what the client needs to achieve with their project, and converting these needs into the optimum user experience is a big part of this role;
• You may have come from digital, campaign or some other field of design, but you live via your mobile device[s] and are excited by the world of true ‘personal computing’. You should be passionate about what you do and want to work with people that are also passionate, regardless of their background. You like to challenge yourself every day and expect the same from the people around you. You are able to bring your design leadership to the team and assist others around you in achieving high quality output;
• You will be contributing to a variety of large scale world-class projects for companies such as Shell, ABN AMRO, General Motors, Akzo Nobel, NIBC and Bavaria, plus new and cutting-edge mobile experiments.

Job requirements

• An individual with a unique perspective who can demonstrate UI/UX concepts in the boardroom as well as brainstorm over coffee/beers;
• Preferred tertiary degree in Design or similar, and some experience in mobile interface design and/or a few years in digital;
• Curious and passionate about creating awesome things. Together;
• Fast and meticulous, with a pixel-level attention to detail and a persistent approach to problem solving;
• Ready to take initiative and be a thought leader in mobile UI/UX;
• Intimate with the Adobe tools;
• Familiar with the technical possibilities and limitations of mobile devices;
• You take great satisfaction in wireframing, and are familiar with clickable prototypes to help sell solutions;
• You are aware that a job is more than just the job-description;
• Able to express yourself extremely well in English (both writing and speaking);
