Are you interested in new technologies? Would you like to work on a variety of international projects involving different market segments? If yes, the position of Project Buyer could well be the ideal next step in your career and personal development
Your position
As a Project Buyer your main functions/ tasks will be:
> Build and improve business relationships with strategic suppliers.
> Align procurement processes with processes of other departments.
> Manage suppliers involved in overseas projects for more than 1 year.
> Manage contracts of more than 500k€.
> Advice other departments in how to achieve cost reduction aplying large scale supplier policies.
> As a part of VI you will be working with the other customer centers seeking for global agreements with international subcontractors.
> True leader. Aggressively advocate the value of smart procurement, to create alignment with and buy-in from our engineering departments.
> Ensure that plannings are always followed internally and externally.
> Improve weekneses and strenghs that you find in our current projects, through cost data analisys techniques.
> Implement supplier agreements/contracts, by working with the Project managers and engineering departments to always ensure that we are fully covered towards our customer tenders.
> Analyse industry trends and evolving technology to seek for new opportunities, riks, weaknesses and strenghs.
> Evaluate current and new suppliers to ensure their true capacities.
Your profile
As a Project Buyer within Vanderlande Spain, we are looking for a person with the follow experience and skills:
> Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably Industrial Engineering and a strong preference to work within a business to business environment.
> High motivation to learn, develop and perform in a fast growing and changing organization.
> A passionate self-starter with a true entrepreneurship mind for seeking new suppliers in new markets.
> Ability to manage several task, projects and different priorities.
> True problem solver without never forgetting to accomplish planning, quality and cost objectives.
> Familiarity with procurement systems and financial applications, e.g. JD Edwards.
> Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
> Proven track record of cultivating strong relationships with suppliers.
> Experience managing suppliers and service providers.
> Significant previous experience in procurement, mainly in machinery manufacturing.
> Experience in industries with an important part of assembly subcontracting; you will be contracting large skilled assembly manpower teams.
> Strong language skills in English (C1), both verbal and written, and a high level of Spanish (C2).
> Willingness to travel (Europe and LATAM).
