Your team
Our European Distribution Centre in Diest called Toyota Parts Centre Europe (TPCE) employs about 930 people. It is responsible for the procurement, inventory control and supply of a dedicated range of Toyota/Lexus spare parts, accessories and technical campaign parts supporting both new car sales and existing customer vehicles service and warranty needs.
The Diest facility itself receives parts from over 700 different suppliers (from Japan to local suppliers) managing over 265,000 part numbers and >150 trucks per day in a dedicated 100,000m2 facility. It provides direct overnight supply to >600 Toyota dealers in local region, and supporting the 13 European Regional Distribution Centres (RDC's) to ensure a consistent high level of Just In Time service to all NMSC's and Toyota dealers within Europe and our final customers beyond

Your Responsibilities

• You will be part of the core team of central inventory control and project management group.
• You will analyse stock and service levels. Initiate necessary improvement actions in stocking policy/ logistics approach to exceed our customers' service expectations.
• You will support RDC's and >40 National Marketing and Sales Companies in developing their systems and improving their specific countries customer needs
• You will engage in leadership of internal system kaizen (continuous improvement) projects and new projects with external stakeholders

Sr Specialist Inventory Control & Project Mangement (110017) Job Requirements

Profile

• Master in commercial or economical education, min 5 years of experience in procurement or inventory control or MRP systems.
• Proven skills in IT system kaizens and Project Management to delivery on time solutions for daily users and improving business performance towards the end customer
• Able to translate user requirements into IT systems is an asset.
• Genuinely interested in the automotive industry & supply chain management.
• Attention to detail and enjoys working in an active supply environment.
• Total supply chain management understanding including TPS (Toyota Production System)/ Logistics/ Sell 1 Buy 1
• Outgoing proactive personality with excellent communication & teamwork skills
• Very good numeric and MS office skills including Access databases
• Some business travel necessary to both Brussels Head Office and mainly European locations hence driving license is required.
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken) as business language is necessary, Dutch is a strong asset
