Your job
IHC’s Asset Services department is accessible to customers around the globe, 24/7, and offers start-up and guarantee services, as well as training and technical support. It consists of several specialists, such as commissioning engineers, dredge masters, (E/I) service engineers and project engineers. In these roles, your responsibilities can vary based upon the job you have:
- commissioning and testing equipment and/or installations
- working with customers at our building yards or on location
- planning, coordinating and reporting on commissioning processes
- coordinating all related stakeholders concerning the vessel and/or equipment
- assisting with troubleshooting and acting as a vital link between the customers’ operations and IHC, including passing on feedback
- understanding customers’ needs and offering the optimal solutions for their requirements
- work preparation of service and repair jobs in the office, and executing service jobs in the field
- training customers on how to use their vessels and equipment efficiently.
International Field Engineer Job Requirements
- Do you have a degree in a technical discipline? Preferably in mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, or equivalent?
- Do you have an independent, flexible and stress-resistant personality? Are you solution- and customer-oriented with a can-do attitude?
- Are you willing to work on international sites and vessels, to travel, and be away from home for long periods of time?
If your response is ‘yes’, then we are looking for someone just like you! Especially if you have already gained experience as a Service Engineer, (Assistant) Superintendent, (Assistant) Dredge Master, and/or Commissioning Engineer. If not, we also have some positions available for junior colleagues. Please note that only candidates with valid EU work visa will be considered as viable candidates.
