Production Engineer Job Description

Within our Production Engineering department you work as a Production Engineer together with other engineers and work planners.
You are accountable to the Team Coach Production Engineering.
In this role you are (partly) responsible for process optimization and monitoring of our powder coating line.
You also offer support to production engineer manufacturing (laser, lace and welding processes).
 
Activities include:

• Supporting the process operator during process monitoring (follow-up of control cards, process parameters, etc.);·          
• Optimizing the process of our powder coating line (eg reducing blasting grit and powder consumption, optimizing furnace settings etc.);
• Increase capacity of our powder coating line;
• Support in structurally solving quality issues in collaboration with employees of the powder coating line and the quality service;
• Participating in and managing various improvement teams with regard to safety, quality and  productivity;
• Support to the production engineer manufacturing is 30-40% of the working time.

Production Engineer Job Requirements

We expect from you:

• HBO Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Process Engineering or MBO with HBO work and thinking level;
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in a similar job within a production organization;
• Knowledge of and experience with project management and quality systems;
• Knowledge of and experience with powder coating (or other automated production lines) and production processes; lasering, edge and welding is a plus;
• An above-average interest in technology;
• Experience with 3D CAD systems (preferably Pro-E) and MS Office;
• Being a team player with a hands-on work mentality;
• Good communication skills;
• Knowledge of the English and German language in word and writing, French is an advantage.
