Graphics/Rendering Engineer Job Description

Responsibilities:

Write code that fulfills the functional, graphical and technical requirements of the project.
Provide the Lead Programmer with feedback regarding the time allotted to assigned tasks.
OpenGL and OpenGL ES 3.0 Rendering issues
Research coding techniques and algorithms in order to keep current on technological developments and advancements in the game industry.
Identify technical and developmental risks/obstacles and generate solutions to overcome identified risks.

Graphics/Rendering Engineer Job Requirements

Requirements:
Required Experience and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related discipline, or relevant work experience.
Expertise with the C/C++ programming language along with a familiarity with OO design principles.
Expert knowledge of real time rendering techniques in relation to lighting and visual effects.
Commitment to code quality, documentation and sound testing procedures.
Demonstrated experience in GPU shading techniques, either in form of shipped games or personal projects
Excellent 3D math skills
Knowledge of rendering capabilities on console and mobile platforms
Comfortable working within an established code framework / engine
Self-motivated individual passionate about video games
Experience with CryEngine a plus
Experience writing, porting or heavy modifications to Rendering pipeline
Experience with multi processor/core programming.
Experience writing vertex and pixel shader code.
Experience writing compute shaders
One or more shipped PC or console game titles a plus.
Experience working on multi-platform software projects.

Ability to research, analyze and optimize code to meet performance requirements
Ability to learn and master new technologies and existing code base.
Ability to work independently and efficiently under deadlines.
Drive to attain graphical excellence
