We are looking for a process / control engineer who has at least 7 or more years of experience in the oil refining, chemical or petrochemical industry for immediate employment. You will be a self-motivated individual looking to develop a career in this rewarding profession. For this senior position we require individuals with an excellent knowledge of refining, chemical or petrochemical processes and how it can be applied to enhance the economic performance of a process operation. Significant experience with at least one commercial multivariable control product is essential as is detailed knowledge of a variety of process units. You will be required to lead APC projects at site and to interact closely with the client to deliver outstanding results. This position is based in our Yokogawa Europe office in Amersfoort, the Netherlands.
As a Senior APC engineer you will be a career oriented and skilled professional that likes to succeed in dynamic environments. Responsibilities:
Design, specify, deploy, and sustain advanced control systems using model predictive control methods.Troubleshooting process control problems. Make recommendations for improvement of bad acting PCI equipment in the field and control loops in the DCS, Tune PID controllers in the DCS.

You ‘ll have a master degree in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering or another Engineering qualification (Mechanical/Electrical/Physics etc.), but then with a specialization in Process Control. You are expected to have a sound background in engineering, as well as significant knowledge in the fields of process technology, process dynamics and control, mathematics, simulation, and technical computing. Your knowledge should encompass Advanced Process Control and Base layer Process Control.
We would also expect you to have experience in multi discipline team working, project engineering, HSE and quality management. You’ll need to have strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent collaboration and team working skills and resilience in the face of change. We’ll expect you to be willing and able to travel a substantial amount (typically 20-50%) of the time and work internationally.
