The strategic growth plan of Belrobotics focuses on three priorities: (i) profitable sales growth in Western Europe, (ii) industrial sourcing and manufacturing, (iii) technological leadership in commercial applications.

In order to lead its product development, Belrobotics is recruiting a Chief Technology Officer.
(Role evolution: depending on the profile and experience of the CTO, the function is likely to evolve towards a COO role encompassing Engineering, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Production, After sales within one to two years.)

Role:
In the role of Chief Technology Officer,

• You will lead and daily manage the engineering team (4 people), bring require expertise and build up the team towards excellence in mowing robot applications
• Your first challenge will focus on improving the reliability of current products by:

• You will set-up cost reduction starting from Engineering, including cooperation with key suppliers;
• You will be responsible for implementing new IEC standards and ensure compliance of current products;
• You will be in charge on new technological/breakthrough developments from technical options to detailed execution: program/project management, coordination with external partners, prototyping, tests, set-up of industrialization process, upgrades.

Chief Technology Officer Job Requirements

Profile:

• You have a Master Degree in Engineering (robotics, electronics, mechatronics)
• You have a strong technical background combining robotics, mechanics, real-time architecture, embedded peripherals, and wireless communication. Wide knowledge and/or experience in advanced robot technology would be a strong asset
• You have at least 10 years of experience in a design/technical/R&D position and/or in an industrialization/manufacturing role
• You’re a leader and you have a relevant experience as people manager
• You are experienced in drafting specifications
• You are proficient in English – knowledge of French language is required
• You’re driven by efficiency, reliability and excellence
• You have very strong problem-solving skills
• You are able to work autonomously and you are “hands on”, you are able to fit into a start-up environment
• Experience of applying for patents is a plus
