As a Commissioning Engineer you will be performing all activities necessary to create a safe test environment. You will be testing and commissioning new installations before they are delivered to the customer. If possible, installations are tested on our quay in Drachten or Franeker, but sometimes they take place at the customer's location, anywhere in the world. During the commissioning and testing period you will participate in project meetings and be involved in the planning. You will be required to ask for assistance from other departments if necessary, and you provide them with the information they need. In this role you work closely with our other commissioning engineers.
You must have completed a MTS or HTS Education in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. You must have a good knowledge of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, software and hydraulics or be willing to learn more about it. Knowledge of PLC is required. You must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
The job requires a flexible disposition. Work at the customer's location anywhere in the world over a period of up to 2 or 4 weeks should be no problem. Due to the nature of our products, you must have a good head for heights, and be in good health.
