Technical Manager - Hydroprocessing Catalysts Job Description

Responsibilities:

Have knowledge of and preferably experience with designing or operation of HPC units in refineries.
Proactively monitor HPC unit operations and catalyst performance, with the aim to increase customer profitability and satisfaction.
Prepare and present technical evaluations and recommendations for catalyst applications to existing and potential customers.
Be a contributing member of the technical service group by providing in-house support to the region (preparation of technical proposals, review of unit operations and technical knowledge sharing)
Provide field support for catalyst related operations at the customer sites
Interact with and assist customer R&D divisions in the evaluation of catalyst systems
Prepare and present technical papers at conferences in the region
Supervise and coach a team of Technical consultants

Technical Manager - Hydroprocessing Catalysts Job Requirements

The profile:

Chemical engineer (MTech / MSc) with at least 10 years of relevant experience. The preferred candidates must have experience in the oil refining industry, in the design of hydroprocessing units or in hydroprocessing catalysts.

Command of English is excellent, both written and spoken. The preferred candidates must have excellent communication and presentation skills that allow interaction on different levels at customers from different cultures. A strong mix of commercial and technical skills is needed to be successful.
