- Demonstrable experience delivering systems infrastructure for business-critical web platforms
- Desire to operate and scale web applications running on the JVM and LAMP stacks
- Expert in system administration within cloud and co-located hosting environments
- Supporter of managing infrastructure as code, using version control
- Generous experience with continuous deployment and related build automation
- Proficient in configuration management, such as with Puppet and Chef
- Comfortable with monitoring and collecting metrics
- Disciplined approach to defining and delivering to SLAs
- Working closely with your colleagues, making your team greater than the sum of the individuals
- Learning and doing more outside of your current comfort zone
- Increasing autonomy, authority, and accountability based on your contributions
- Great written communication and documentation abilities in English
- Minimum 5 years of full-time work experience operating complex web applications in production
- BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related academic area, or equivalent work experience
- A portfolio of code samples or other relevant work that you are proud to discuss
