Our Client, a european dynamic and ambitious organisation specialised in, food products testing and agro science, is currently looking for a .Net developer. The company is accelerating the deployment of standard processes across its sites. A key aspect of the program is the alignment of their main Information Management System in, and of other applications with the newest processes. Modular suite of applications that leverage a distributed database which instances share a centrally managed schema. A customer facing web site interfaced with 2 other systems that allows to provide online services to select customers. Both leverage a .Net-based framework that captures key aspects of access and provides a porfolio of reusable services.
The main objective of this position is to help the IT Solutions Team in Luxembourg to accelerate the delivery of new functions.

The technologies currently being deployed for development are:
- Visual Studio 2008
- ASP.Net
- C#.Net
- Visual Basic.Net
- MS SQL Server 2008
- MVC, HTML, CSS

SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS:

• Contribute to the design, development, troubleshooting, tests and documentation of select functions, at appropriate quality levels, and timely.
• Follow and promote group development practices and policies in order to produce functions that can easily be implemented within the group.
• Use sound software engineering practices and state-of-art development methodologies - so-called Agile - so as to ensure superior quality.
• Create and maintain level 3 technical and operational documentation that describes program code, logic, changes, and corrections for assigned functions.
• Provide continued level 3 support for select functions.

• Ensure follow-up to his Manager on a regular basis and as often as requested.
• Acquire rapidly a working knowledge of 3 specific applications. Deepen that knowledge on a continuous basis, guided by the most pressing needs of assigned functions.
• Develop appropriate working relationships with IT and non IT target groups. Actively support reuse and sharing within the wider community.
• Mentor younger colleagues on software engineering and software development.
