Customer Process Engineer (M/F) Job Description

E.ON Connecting Energies GmbH (ECT) is a new unit which started its operations in July 2012. ECT’s mandate is to establish a meaningful global presence for E.ON Group in the rapidly growing market for distributed energy services and solutions. As an integrator, ECT will be providing complete solutions to customers, by combining on-site energy generation, energy efficiency and energy management, as well as demand response management solutions.

We are looking for our Business Unit Multisite/Multinational in Essen for two Customer Process Engineer (M/F)

Responsibilities

• Deep understanding of industrial processes of clients and their respective energy demand 
• Evaluation concerning new technologies within the market and implementation of advanced new technologies into ECT’s business
• System design and set-up of CHCP solutions according to the need of the customer and the optimization of energy cost
• Development of operational concepts for implementation into the existing structure of the client
• Set up of quality standards needed and listing of potential suppliers for delivery of solutions
• Communication with all parties and persons involved in the project
• Reporting to Head of Project Management
• Key performance indicators for this position are:
  • Generation costs per kWh produced
  • Capex budgets
  • Cost reduction targets

Customer Process Engineer (M/F) Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Relevant University education 
• Experience in industrial processes and required energy sources
• Deep knowledge of CH( C )P technologies (gas engine/turbine, biofuel engine, steam turbine, ORC etc.)
• Minimum 5 years experience in project management and/or engineering in relevant fields
• Profound experience in understanding of complex technology projects 
• Strong communication skills and convincing personality
• Ambitious, target oriented and positive with customers and colleguages at the top ofmind
• Very good analytical skills and proactive and creative approach toproblem solving
• Financial orientation and cost awareness
• Intercultural skills – fluent in English
