Job Description:

We are looking for experienced Engineers for power semiconductor, particularly GaN, device applications like SMPS, AC-DC, DC-DC, Drives, Solar converters. 

Your main responsibility will be the definition of new GaN devices based on targeted applications and develop application driven product development roadmaps. 

Additional focus will be providing the technical marketing support to our lead customers for the development and implementation of customers’ applications based on GaN and MOSFET products, which includes the following main tasks: 

• Customer application notes by provides follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications to service personnel, company sales representatives, and customer’s employees
• Training of the regional field application engineers
• Assistance to sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications

Senior Application Engineer with focus on GaN Technology (f/m) Job Requirements

Qualifications:

You are convincing by the fact that you are a team player and active driver and want to get things done. You work well under stress, are flexible and want to be employed in a demanding field of work. 

This job is suitable for applicants with a University degree (preferably post-graduate degree) in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Physics or Material Science.

Experience / Knowledge:

The ideal candidate has more than 5 years (research) experience in the power electronics design and development. A sound knowledge of the topologies used in power supplies for PC, notebook, server, telecom, solar, adapter, LCD, UPS or similar is required, as is knowledge of the electrical behavior of power devices and ideally knowledge of semiconductor device physics. 

Extensive knowledge of GaN technology and its application in the power converter designs is a must. Furthermore, you offer good MS-Office.
