Operations Engineer Job Description

The Operations Engineer will be a part of the Engineering department. He/she will report to and assist the Operations Manager in day-to-day business, in collaboration with the other members of the engineering staff.
The Operations Engineer will be responsible and accountable for the following:
- Assisting the Operations Manager in co-ordination of the onshore emergency response;
- Assisting the Project Manager as required;
- Performing reviews on Workfox documentation originated by draftsmen or other authors;
- Performing reviews on project related client documentation
- Managing specific contracted and subcontracted engineering scope;
- Supervising fabrication and implementation of engineered work;
- Keeping track of new developments in the industry and statutory organisations;
- Originating/editing project specific procedures or other project related documentation for Client;
- Performing stability assessments of units (both in floating and jack-up position);
- Assisting in feasibility studies for the commercial department;
- Providing technical assistance in preparation of specifications, covering modifications/ refits/ repairs;
- Assisting with the implementation of company policies.

Operations Engineer Job Requirements

- Strong technical background preferably in the offshore/marine sector;
- Completed study in Marine Engineering;
- Master English both verbal and in writing;
- Computer skills: a good knowledge of MS Office and AutoCad;
- Preparedness to travel and visit our offshore units on a frequent basis;
- Good communication / reporting skills;
- Commercial capabilities;
- Hands-on and pro-active attitude, able to work alone and good social abilities;
- Ability to manage change / flexibility;
- Client orientated.
