Senior Installation Engineer Job Description
THE JOB
- responsible for the performance of installation engineering; work method determination, deck lay out set up, installation calculations (stability, strength etc.);
- prepare the installation (work) procedures based upon the mentioned analysis;
- verify and check all engineering work performed for the project;
- report progress and highlight critical activities to the project manager and the manager engineering;
- solve problems and come up with creative ideas to reach the goals set;
- liaise with the clients on technical issues and liaise with the Operations Department and vessel marine crew on operational issues;
- support the vessel during the vessel mobilization, demobilization and offshore project execution.
Senior Installation Engineer Job Requirements
THE PROFILE
- Bsc. or Msc. degree (i.e. Mechanical or Civil Engineering or Naval Architecture);
- 8-10 years (applicable) experience in marine industry, preferably in sub sea construction;
- knowledge of the offshore (heavy lift) industry, knowledge of rules & regulations applicable to offshore transportation & installation works;
- knowledge of marine engineering, structural engineering, vessel dynamics and subsea installation engineering;
- knowledge of Orca Flex and Naval Architecture skills would be an advantage. Also practical experience on board installation vessels during offshore project execution is preferred.
- fluent English both verbal and writing;
- willing to travel;
- a creative thinker with good problem solving skills;
- initiative, convincing and helicopter view.
