Project Leader New Product Introduction Job Description

The position
The Project Leader is responsible for a smooth introduction of new developed products into Vanderlande Industries’ global supply network. The goal is to realize a Supply Chain that meets both Vanderlande Industries’ business requirements and  the supply chain strategy. You connect R&D and Corporate Procurement & Logistics and report to the Manager Supply Chain Centre Europe. This is a new position within Vanderlande Industries that requires strong skills to develop the position and to proof its added value and necessity.
 
Key areas of responsibility

• Continuously communicates with R&D program and project managers to identify current and future requirements for supply chain developments and set-up. Maintain overview of all active R&D developments to enable both CP&L and Manufacturing departments to react and adapt to these developments
• Build and manage a general supply chain strategy for new products introductions in line with the strategies of Sourcing Management, Supply Chain Management, Physical Distribution, Supplier Quality Assurance and VI Manufacturing
• Translate business requirements for specific new products into supply chain targets that CP&L needs to fulfill in terms of pricing, lead-time, quality processes and capacity in cooperation with R&D and / or the various business units
• Develop and manage product specific supply chain strategy, plan and planning that meets the supply chain targets
• Manage required supply chain actions with all supply chain related functions such as Sourcing, Logistics, Cost Engineering, Quality Assurance and Manufacturing
• Execute Sourcing and Logistics activities within Supply Chain in cooperation with the responsible Sourcing Managers were needed
• Continuously drive to improve Vanderlande Industries’ existing supply chain for existing products and achieve resolutions to problems within multidisciplinary teams

Your profile

• BSc or MSc Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• More than 5 years experience in Project Management, Supply Chain Management or Sourcing in a technical environment
• Assertive, result-oriented, and pro-active problem solver
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• A team player with good communication, negotiation and social skills that can influence without power
• A strong dose of Vanderlande core values Drive to Win, Teamplay and Ownership
