SOFTWARE DEVELOPER Job Description

Data, Information and knowledge are among KeyGene's foremost products. A state-of-the-art ICT and software infrastructure are the underpinning of our successful R&D and business. As Software Developer you will participate in software development projects in which you will be responsible for the design and implementation of new, and expansion and maintenance of existing systems. These range from generic technologies for a.o. information management and data visualization to domain specific applications developed for the analysis of plant bio-molecular data. You will work with a team of bioinformaticians, quantitative geneticitst and ICT specialists within the Bioinformatics department, and you will closely interact with scientists from other R&D departments within KeyGene.

SOFTWARE DEVELOPER Job Requirements

• BSc/Msc degree in Informatics or Computer Science.
• Proficient programming skills in Java and the.Net platform.
• Knowledge and experience with both client- and server-side software development.
• Knowledge and experience with Python, Perl, R, and Matlab programming, as well as with RDBMS are an asset.
• Knowledge of plant Biotechnology and related data analysis is not required, but a motivation to acquire a basic understanding of the domain is essential.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English
