Technical Account Manager Job Description
AppNexus are looking for a Technical Account Manager in our London office, to be part of our Global Services team (a team of multi-skilled, passionate, consultative problem solvers dedicated to making our customers amazingly successful while building a world class company together).
The AppNexus Technical Account Manager focuses primarily on the training, onboarding, monitoring, and general support of buy-side clients. This role requires a deep product expertise, highly responsive and professional communication, technical problem solving, and deep analytical thinking.
This role is perfect for someone who has a passion for digital media, advertising technology, and solving customer problems.
Responsibilities:
- Form close relationships with customers becoming their trusted advisor in RTB buying
- Deliver new customer onboarding training as well as ad hoc training on new features to ensure their self-sufficiency on our product
- Become a product and domain expert and share that expertise with customers
- Closely monitor customer campaigns and tenaciously troubleshoot technical issues
- Analyze campaigns and offer recommendations to improve performance
- Work closely with the Analytics team to develop large budget campaign strategies which achieve customer objectives
- Share knowledge with other Global Services team members
- Work closely with Account Managers in identifying areas to deepen our customer relationships
- Identify ways to improve the operational effectiveness for the Demand Trading group and advocate for their implementation; take ownership in improving the scalability of the group
Technical Account Manager Job Requirements
Requirements:

- Outstanding troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong quantitative reasoning skills; loves data
- Outstanding communication, project management, and presentation skills
- Demonstrable passion for learning new technologies
- Versatile, with excellent organizational skills; process-oriented, yet entrepreneurial
- An quantitatively-oriented degree of any variation from a top-tier school is required
Desired:
- Familiarity with online media buying and selling, advertising technology solutions and ad network business models a plus
- Campaign management, optimization, and yield management highly beneficial.
- Experience in Internet technologies such as HTML, SQL, JavaScript, PHP a plus
- Experience with relational databases a plus
