Lead Engineer Job Description

The Lead Engineer is responsible for: 
- Capturing of the Customer Technical Requirements and issuing of both technical and functional specification;
- Defining work breakdown structure, plan and organize all technical activities within the assigned projects;
- Giving input to sales management during the proposal phase;
- The latest in-depth technical knowledge, and act as a technical oracle for the project and sales management;
- Lead, develop, motivate and coach the engineering project team (non-hierarchical function);
- Technical communications with the involved third parties (such as; customers, suppliers, project managers, installation team, commissioning and testing);
- Development and staying up to date knowledge concerning norms and standards and sharing this with the other involved engineers;
- You are able to complement or substitute the project manager during his absence. 

Lead Engineer Job Requirements

- At least a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering/Power Engineering;
- 5 years of relevant experience;
- Ability to prioritize and organize actions effectively and efficiently; 
- You coach engineers to work in a structured way in order to get results;
- Business wise and result oriented approach;
- Excellent knowledge of English language (speaking and writing);
- Proven experience in independently running projects and being a successful team player;
- Willing to work and live for a long time in the Netherlands.
